How we got started

The idea started by wanting to give back to those less fortunate but wanting it to stay local and really help them. What better way than with helping on the grocery bill and providing a quality, fresh source of ground beef. Ground beef can be used in so many meals and is easily frozen for longer shelf life. So the first calf was bought! Fed all summer on grass and grain, then butchered around Thanksgiving. The entire calf was ground into burger and donated to the North Alabama Baptist Association to be distributed as they saw fit. One calf wasn’t much but it gave 10 local families 20 pounds of ground beef each! A tiny step in the right direction. After 10 years of donating one calf a year, it is time to step it up and give even more but help is needed to pay for the beef on the hoof and the feed. This is where you come in! Every dollar you donate goes towards another beef, feeding the beef, or butchering costs!
